AeonClad Coatings Promotes AeonCoat at ACS

AeonClad Coatings is promoting its AeonCoat technology, which can help tailor PTFE or pigment surface chemistry with a low power pulsed plasma deposition process that offers significant benefits over a typical plasma etching process.

“Our technology can help make additives multifunctional by combining several beneficial properties into a single additive,” said William Strieber of AeonClad Coatings. “AeonCoat technology can help you transform the surface chemistry of your product, allowing uses in applications never before possible, yet still retaining the integral properties that make your product valuable.”

Increased compatibility and higher inter-particle bonding strength of the additives allow for significantly higher loading capacity of the additives. The AeonCoat technology provides a manner in which to add more additives without sacrificing the structural integrity of the resin system. Without the use of surfactants, AeonClad Coatings PTFE disperses in water.

AeonClad’s technology provides for the highly precise application and molecular bonding of a polymer to the particle surface in a low-power, ambient temperature environment. The polymer can be controlled with highly controlled thickness and concentration of surface groups. AeonClad can tailor an additive’s surface chemistry to provide compatibility with numerous coating substrate materials. For more information go to www.aeonclad.com.
